These are from Josh’s phone for about the 4-2011 to 4-2012 timeframe.

Molly took the kids to a new dentist on Monday. The hygienist asked the older two a question: “Do you drink juice?” they answered yes in turn. She then went on to explain that juice causes cavities and they need to promise that each time they have a glass of juice that they will then drink a glass of water and brush their teeth right after that. They are both so sincere and agreed, “Yes, of course. We promise.”

The hygienist then turned to Oliver, “Do you drink juice?” Oliver looked up at her and said, “Yes!” she responded the same way: “That causes cavities.” Oliver looked at her and said, “I don’t care”. This took the hygienist off guard and she looked at Molly as if to say: did he say what I think he said!? The answer is sadly: yes. Yes it is. Such a little devil. A devil with puffy little lips.

So Molly asked Ollie what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday. He told us that he want “a cake with an owl on it. An owl that had bonked his head on the ground.” It sounds tasty.

Here’s a link to the picassa album from Lucy’s camera. I see summer picnics with neighbors in Minneapolis, our trip to Boston and some of Lucy at Tae Kwon Do and with her new friends at school. Of course, there are LOTS of random shots as well. It is funny to see what an 8 year old choses to document.

Ollie got his Captain America costume from Jay and Rebecca today. He tried it on right after his bath for quite a show.

So, we haven’t been able to get it together to do a Christmas card since Ollie was born. This year, our card is ordered!

Lucy and Jasper have been at Jhoon Rhee Tae Kwon Do for a month or so now. Lucy goes every day after school. Today Jasper got his white belt.

It was also the first day Jasper broke boards. He loves it and is really focused and strong for his age. Lucy, of course, has practice or class 6 days a week, so she is super skilled and focused during class.

So for Molly’s birthday weekend we went to the ocean. We stayed right on the ocean in Ocean City. We had lots of crabs, picked up tons of shells, walked the beach and hunted for a starfish (Lucy’s request). It was rainy and windy for most of the afternoon on Saturday so we got in a long much needed nap with ocean sounds There was a motorcycle rally so it reminded me of SD. Awesome weekend.
